About the Partner

Dr. Alana Schnitz is an Assistant Research Professor at Juniper Gardens. Her work focuses on social-emotional teaching practices and behavior support across two age bands: infant-toddler (birth to age 2) and school-age. The infant-toddler measure she’s developed, Tippy Toes, captures the social-emotional teaching practices early educators are using with the youngest children and gives programs a starting point for coaching. The school-age side covers behavior support practices for general and special education settings. All of Alana’s work runs as a tiered model: Tier 1 system-level work, Tier 2 small group, and Tier 3 individual professional development and consultation. KU has approved her consultation rate at $134/hr.
