The Behavior Cost Calculator lets school and district leaders enter a few numbers about their current state — student behavior incidents, time pulled from instruction, staff turnover, related costs — and see what those things are actually adding up to in dollars. It’s modeled on the Learning Policy Institute’s teacher turnover calculator. The calculator is built to start a conversation: once leaders see the cost, the next question is what to do about it, which is where PBIS, CW-FIT, and other research-grounded supports come in.
